I’ve started our Own Company!!!
It’s been quite a journey to get here but Im happy to share a little about how it all began.
A few years ago, I was working as a Project Manager and Trainer at an AI company focused on self-driving cars. I had the chance to train and help many people in the Philippines learn about AI annotation as an online job, which was a huge help during the pandemic. But over time, we started to feel like we were being taken advantage of—paid far less than what our work was really worth, just because we were from a less developed country.
Determined to find something better opportunities for me and the team, I connected with a startup from Poland, a one-of-a-kind organization filled with skilled, passionate and amazing individuals. Together with my team, we contributed to their AI annotation projects, delivering high-quality, accurate results. Unfortunately, despite our success, the company eventually shut down due to its founders parting ways.
But that wasn’t the end for us. I continued to reach out to other companies, determined to find the right opportunity for my team. Many expressed interest but required us to be a registered business for smoother transactions. So, I partnered with an existing company that agreed to help us get started. At first, things went well. However, as our projects grew, we realized that the company is asking more than what we could provide, which left us feeling undervalued once again.
At that point, I knew we had to take the risk and build something of our own. It wasn’t easy, but I’m proud to say that we’re now operating as an independent company, and we couldn’t be happier! 🎉🎉
